Love Your Look, Thanks to the SVIA Team

While it is no secret that many individuals consider large, curvy breasts to be an attractive look, plenty of people wish they could reduce the size of their overly large breasts. Back issues, discomfort wearing bra straps, and trouble fitting into the clothes of your choice are just a few of the issues that you may be experiencing if you have breasts that are disproportionately large for your frame.

Here at the Silicon Valley Institute for Aesthetics, we have built a network comprised of some of the most highly talented and well-experienced practitioners in the area. We’ll pair you with the surgeon that is right for you, and set you on a course that will see you enjoying the body of your dreams. Ideal Candidates for Breast Reduction

When you meet with one of our expert cosmetic surgeons, you’ll discuss your cosmetic goals in detail. Your surgeon will get to know your body type, learn everything there is to know about your lifestyle, and gain a thorough understanding of your aspirations. They’ll help you decide whether or not breast reduction is the right procedure for you, after helping you explore the various options we offer.

You’re likely to be a great candidate for breast reduction if you’re dealing with:

  • Overly large breasts
  • Pain from bra straps
  • Back issues
  • Difficulty fitting into clothes
  • Feelings of self-consciousness

Your Breast Reduction Procedure

Before your breast reduction operation, your surgeon will talk you through everything you might need to know about both your surgery and the recovery process. You’ll go over the details of your actual procedure, including how long the operation will take, and what you can expect in terms of your scarring once the procedure is complete and you’re all healed.

Breast reduction will be performed under general anesthesia, and typically takes between three and four hours to complete. Once your surgery is over, you’ll spend a bit of time in our recovery area, before returning home on the same day. You will need someone to drive you, however, as you recover from being placed under general anesthesia.

Your Recovery and Results

It’s quite normal to experience, swelling, bruising, and a general feeling of discomfort in the days immediately following your breast reduction surgery. You’ll be provided with everything needed to remain comfortable as you recover from the procedure. You’ll be able to return to your normal routine within about three to four weeks but will need to avoid strenuous activities and vigorous exercise for a period of about three to four months. After your surgery, we’ll give you a detailed recovery timeline with thorough instructions, and will schedule follow-up appointments to ensure that you’re healing properly.
